Navigation Systems Overview

SSTest offers Website templates with different navigation systems. To make your template selection process easier, we classify Navigation Systems as follows:

In addition, all of our navigation systems can have pre-designed Hot Buttons.
Example of Drop-Down menu

Drop-Down Menu

Our Drop-Down Menu navigation system (see the example to the right) is designed using JAVA-script and HTML layers. It works in both Internet Explorer and Netscape Communicator V 4.X and higher. Instead of linking directly to linked pages, all Top-level buttons in this system produce sub-button lists to choose from.

Advantages:

  • Usability. Any page for a site is only a click away,
  • Simplicity. Well known to everybody,
  • Image. Makes your site look more professional while improving your company's image.

Disadvantages:

  • Compatibility. Does not work in older versions of IE and Netscape,
  • Requirements. Won't work when JAVA-script is not supported by a browser or is disabled,
  • Weight. Each page becomes about 30Kb heavier.

Our Classic Navigation Bar has come a long way from the well-known column of buttons that Internet started with. From that time, the Classic Navigation Bar has evolved and now has a myriad of variations. Many of our Website templates are created with this type of navigation.

Needless to say, we have the Website templates with all kind of navigation systems.

  • Weight. Allows to minimize a page weight.
Disadvantages:
  • Usability. Requires a page reloading to view a list of subbutons.
